March 14, 2010 · Leave a Comment

Many, many thanks to everyone for your kind wishes, cards and flowers; especially those who were disappointed to find the gallery closed on Friday and made an extra journey to Hereford on Saturday.

Still awaiting an outcome but hopefully we will be open every day this week.

At this point I will attempt to insert a cheery pic! Yes, I know its a graveyard.  ALL THANKS TO HEREFORD HOSPITAL FOR KEEPING ME OUT OF THERE!

HANDSPINNING REVIVAL

May 7, 2009 · 1 Comment

Its many years since I did any spinning – my well used Louet has sulked in the corners of several homes but recently it has been making its presence felt. to my amazement my daughter in Canda (ORK) of Ravelry fame acquired a spinning wheel; many interesting customers in the gallery and in the Stitch n Bitch owned up to having wheels and being spinners so I finally succumbed, dusted down the wheel and joined Bridstow Spinners near Ross on Wye. I still had some Jacob Fleece: so a few tins of Dylon later I was coloured up and ready to card. Here’s the result.
